Betty Ann Robinson Hawkins, 80, of Wartrace died Friday, November 19, 2021.
Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 22nd, at Fairfield Church of Christ, Jeff Collet officiating.  Burial followed at the Hawkins Farm Cemetery.
Betty loved her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Fairfield Church of Christ for 65 years teaching Children’s Bible Class, Ladies Bible Class and overseer of the church library. She graduated from MTSU receiving a Bachelor’s, Master’s & Education Specialist Degree.
She was a first grade teacher for over 31 years at Cascade Elementary; college teacher of Geography; President of Tennessee Geography Alliance; 2003 Geography Teacher of the Year; 2011 Bomar-Wiser Teacher Excellence Award and Secretary-Treasurer of the Mineralogical Society. She enjoyed geocaching. She was a world traveler which included: New Zealand, Italy, Australia, Greece & Switzerland.  Her travels also included a bicycle tour traveling to the Netherlands, Holland & Belgium.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Mason Robinson, Sarah Agnes Taylor Robinson and a great granddaughter, Addison Vaughn.
Betty is survived by her children, Barbara “Barbie” Thomas (Tony), Jimmy Hawkins (Lisa); sisters, Norma Ashley (Bill), Brenda Jane Freeman; five grandchildren, Taylor Davis, Alston Thomas, Mason Thomas, Morgan Smith, Haley Vaughn; two great-grandchildren, Spencer Davis and Landry Davis.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairfield Church of Christ or to the Multi-County Cancer Fund.
