It was a small family celebration hosted by his wife, Mary May, at their home in the Pleasant Grove community. His wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren said recently how they’re thankful and blessed to be able to wish this special member of their family a happy birthday.
A World War II veteran, May served in the U.S. Army from November 1944 to January 1946. He received a Purple Heart due to being shot during active duty in Germany.
