Jorge De Villa is the owner of both La Hacienda and Casa Mexicana restaurants in Shelbyville. He opened La Hacienda six years ago and purchased Casa Mexicana two years ago, having worked his way up in the restaurant business from kitchen and server positions. De Villa has worked to improve service and customer experience at Casa Mexicana, 1015 Madison St., since taking it over in 2018, and has added a lunch buffet. He said he’s striving for a comfortable atmosphere that’s welcoming for the whole family. De Villa says his own favorite menu item is the nachos paisa.
