After losing seven-straight matches at the Lester Welsh Duals last weekend, the Cascade Champions wrestling team got back to their winning ways on Monday night as they defeated East Nashville Magnet School 36-30 and Franklin County High School 48-18.
In the narrow victory over East Nashville, Vayden Moore and Isaac Chapa were the only Champions to secure a win via pin with the rest of their points coming from forfeits.
Moore pinned his 132 class opponent in 51 seconds while Chapa pinned his 195 class foe in a minute and 33 seconds.
Cascade was more dominant against Franklin County as six grapplers were able to secure wins via pin.
Trenton Giel made quick work of his opponent in the 145 class with a 42 second pin victory for the quickest of the matchup.
The other five to secure a pin were Max Darefsky, Hayden Dowell, Cole West, Dylan Warren, and Chapa.
Chapa was the only Champion to secure a victory not by forfeit in both of his duals of the tri-match.
