COVID-19 self-test kits arrive

NASHVILLE (AP) — Tennessee Department of Health COVID-19 testing sites will begin offering self-testing kits to adults beginning December 21.

Those coming for self tests will remain in their vehicles while completing paperwork and collecting their samples. Health departments will submit the samples for testing and results will be available online only via email.

The self-tests kits are not approved for children under age 18.

Bedford County Health Department will offer both drive through and self tests Monday through Friday from 8-11 a.m. at 140 Dover St. For more information call the health department in Shelbyville at 931-359-1551.
