Bedford County’s positivity rate has continued at levels far in excess of what public health agencies say is necessary to accurately extrapolate how widespread the viral infection is. The state health department reports statewide positivity rates every day. On Sunday (Dec. 6) the state rate was 16.49 percent. The Bedford County rate on that single day was 54.77 percent with 26 cases from 45 tests.
