Darlene K. Gross Thomas, 75, of Shelbyville passed away April 30, 2021.
She was the mother of Walter "J" Sturm and Daniel J. Hoefler; cherished grandmother of Chace and Kallie Sturm and loving great-grandmother of Caius Sturm.
She is also survived by her sisters, Kathy Elliott, Joanne Froelich and Denise Cyr.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and John Gross; brothers, Daniel, David, Jerry and Johnny Gross; sisters, Carol Baze and Charlotte Woods.
Darlene's spirit of life and fiery independence are legendary. She was exceptionally passionate in her nursing career assisting families and friends with her specialties.
Per Darlene's wishes no memorial service will be scheduled.
Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
