It took an overtime period but Shelbyville Central's Golden Eagles brought home a win over Franklin County in a District 8-AAA contest on Friday night.
After playing to a 55-55 tie at the end of regulation, the Eagles claimed the victory by scoring six points in overtime.
The Eagles (5-5, 1-2) held a 14-6 advantage after the first quarter before trailing 24-19 at the intermission.
Franklin County took a 44-40 lead after three periods with Shelbyville Central outscoring the Rebels 15-11 in the fourth stanza to send the game into overtime.
Jai'lain Anderson the winners with 24 points with Jayshon Jones adding 16 and Devyn Heath collecting a dozen.
Kane Reed's 28 points led all scorers.
