Shelbyville Central was able to overcome a five-error night and relied on the heroics of AJ Parker in the bottom of the seventh in a 10-9 walk-off victory against Franklin County on Tuesday night.

For the first three innings, the Rebels seemingly held total control of the contest, plating three runs in the first frame, one in the second and two more in the third for a 6-0 lead by the top of the third.

The Eagles cut the Franklin County lead to two runs with a four-spot in the bottom of the frame.

Following a scoreless fourth inning, Franklin County added to its lead with two more runs in the fifth and a final run scored in the sixth inning.

Shelbyville again relied on a four-spot in the bottom of the sixth, yet still trailed 9-8 heading to the bottom of the seventh.

Parker provided a key part of the offense for the Eagles with a pair of base hits, including a triple. He drove in three runs, while Griffin Williams went 2-for-3 and knocked in three of his own.

The Eagles will be back in action on Monday, hosting Lawrence County at 4 p.m.
