WINCHESTER — Shelbyville Central just couldn’t find an answer for Franklin County’s Kai Baker and Sam Vincent.
The Rebel duo combined for 30 points and dealt the Eagles a 58-31 defeat on Friday night.
Kenyon Fuqua and Vincent combined for 13 first-quarter points to spark an 18-point effort.
Shelbyville saw production from four different players, but struggled to consistently score in the frame, only mustering up seven points in the opening quarter.
Not much changed in the second as Franklin County carried a 34-14 lead into the half.
That same narrative continued to play out through the remainder of regulation as the Rebels held the Eagles in check, only allowing them to score single digits in each quarter.
Terrence Johnson and Rocky Chandler each scored eight to lead the Eagles, while Joe Harris added seven.
