The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagle soccer team claimed an impressive 2-1 victory over visiting Siegel in a non-district match on Senior Night Tuesday.
Seniors Eduardo AJ, Noah Carballoso, Dyson Collins, Jose Domingo, Cristian Gonzalez, Mark Hernandez, Jared Rojas and Pepe Vargas were honored before the match.
"We went a goal down early, but these seniors showed some real grittiness in fighting back the win," Shelbyville Central coach Chris Fritz said.
"We've had a long stretch of games with very little break, so I am really proud of our ability and excited to see how we play when we are fresh. Our seniors were the difference makers tonight."
Ramos scored first after dribbling the keeper and Domingo scored after a nice through ball from Daniel Juarez.
The Eagles (6-5-2, 4-2-1) close out regular season district play at Columbia Thursday night at 7.
