FAYETTEVILLE - It was a tough afternoon for the Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglette tennis team on Thursday at Lincoln County.
Lincoln County won all five singles matches to claim the 5-0 win over Shelbyville.
Lucy Higgins defeated Ainsley Noel at the No. 1 seed, 8-3, while Corley Mullins beat No. 3 Vivian Fernandez, 8-4.
The toughest match of the afternoon came in the No. 5 match when Caitlyn Burdick gave Callie Gentry all she could handle. In the end, Gentry edged out the 9-7 win.
