Shelbyville Central's Golden Eaglette softball team held on to claim a 8-7 win over Franklin County on the road in a District 8-AAA contest on Friday night.
Leading 8-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning the Eaglettes made a couple of errors then Franklin County's bats got hot, scoring six runs.
Sarah Margret Housch got the start and win in the circle, pitching four solid innings before handing the ball over to Hannah Burks.
Jaleigha Harris ripped a triple and double, Kate McKamey blasted a triple and three singles in four at-bats.
Kendance Rippy also doubled while Lilly Brown collected three singles.
Housch, Evie Winfrey and Alyvia Smith each added a pair of singles.
Jaylyn Brewer's 3-run homer in the seventh inning was tops for Franklin County.
The Eaglettes play at Columbia Academy on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.
