Shelbyville Central's defensive effort on Tuesday night limited visiting Mt. Pleasant to single figures in each quarter and the Eaglettes claimed a 56-17 non-district victory.
The game was never truly in doubt as the Eaglettes jumped on the visitors out of the gate with a 13-5 romp through the first eight minutes.
Paige Blackburn led the charge in an 18-point third quarter as she tacked on 10 of her game-high 23 points, including a pair of three-pointers.
At the half, the Eaglettes led 31-9.
Even with the lopsided advantage through the first half, it was a 19-3 run throughout the third quarter that truly put the game out of reach.
In the decisive third quarter, Shelbyville added three more triples, with Kendall Dearing banking a pair.
Only six Eaglettes found their way in the scoring column, but the production was more than enough to down the Lady Tigers.
