Following Monday's blowout win against Marshall County, the Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglettes (10-4-1, 7-1-1) made it 2-for-2 on the week, edging out a 3-1 win against Spring Hill on Tuesday night.
Paige Blackburn found the back of the net twice and Abby Hittle added a third insurance goal to help lead the Eaglettes.
“We honestly played some of the smartest and most intense soccer that we've played all year. Our back line did incredibly well against their talented offense and we had some major players come off the bench, including Kira King, Sophie Miller, Pamy Plmeros and Savannah Watson to really make a difference in the match,” coach Chris Fritz said.
Shelbyville has a chance to finish the regular season on a high note on Thursday at Rockvale.

An avalanche of scoring was all the Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglettes needed to pick up a win over Marshall County on Monday night.
The Eaglette offense broke loose and scored seven goals in the shutout victory.
Cheyenne Watson found the back of the net twice to lead Shelbyville, while Sharaid Palmeros, Paige Blackburn, Joscelyn Hayitin, Gloria Hernandez and Ashleigh Pridmore each scored once.
"We pride ourselves on being a team that moves the ball and can be threatening from any position," coach Chris Fritz said.
"This was a night that proved the quality of all our girls. Our girls came off the bench ready to make a difference and keep our play going forward.
