An early outpouring of runs was more than Cascade could overcome on Monday afternoon in a non-district meeting against the Lady Knights.
The visitors plated 11 runs in the first two innings and coasted to a 13-3 win over the Lady Champions.
After struggling the first trip through the lineup, Cheynne Simpson safely reached base with one out in the bottom of the third inning.
She later stole home for the first run of the game.
Cascade plate two more runs in the fifth frame when senior Cenzie McAnally mashed a two RBI double to center field.
Still, the early damage was more than Cascade was able to overcome.
From the pitcher's circle, Simpson got the start and pitched 1 1/3 innings before Bailey Olive took over in relief.
Olive pitched four innings and gave up five hits and four walks, while striking out two.
Cascade gets the remainder of the week off before returning home on Monday for another non-district game against Riverdale at 5 p.m.
