Effie Mae Bartlett, age 73, of Chicago, Illinois passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Effie was born July 14, 1948 in Pinner, Alabama to Fred and Hazel Helton, who predeceased her. She was raised in Shelbyville, Tennessee, and attended Shelbyville Central High School.
Effie was an employee of Walgreen Company then ran her own baseball card business for many years in Chicago. She enjoyed cooking and watching the Cubs. A wonderful woman, Effie will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Effie is predeceased by her husband Billy Wayne Bartlett who passed away on July 13, 2010, and by her brothers Robert Edward Helton, Doris Leonard Helton and by her sister-in-law Mary Nelle Helton and brother-in-law Billy Reynolds.
She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Bartlett Robinett, son, Mitchell Bartlett (Morgan) and granddaughter Aurora, her sister Lorene Reynolds and brother John (Barbara) Wayne Helton. She also had many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
There is no visitation scheduled. Cremains will be interred at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville in July.
