Sydney Faith Ely and Brett S. Capley, both of Shelbyville, have announced their forthcoming marriage of Oct. 2. The couple are planning to exchange their vows in Orange Beach, Ala.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Shelly Darnell and the late Erik B. Ely. She is the granddaughter of Linda Floyd of Shelbyville and the late Billy Joe Floyd, Scott and Shellie Ely of Bulls Gap and the late Rick Sullivan.
She graduated from Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Shelbyville in December and is employed with Batesville Casket Company.
The groom-to-be is the son of Armie Clanton and Scott Capley. He is grandson of Mark and Linda Taylor, John Clanton, Bennie Jo Carter and the late Billy Wayne “Red” Capley.
He has completed the Southeastern Line Constructors Apprenticeship and Training (SELCAT) program and is employed by I.B.E.W. The Local #429, Nashville.
