Family and Community Education Club reports

Liberty FCE met Jan. 18 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, as reported by Dorris Turrentine. Lynn Wilhelm called the meeting to order. Ten members were in attendance.

Dorris Turrentine served was hostess. Judy Smith and Ardis Rittenberry gave the devotion.

Extension agent Whitney Danhof gave the education lesson on "Load up your Digital Grocery Cart." She also gave a presentation on how to make "Hot Chocolate Cocoa Bombs."

Christmas gifts were exchanged, since the club's December meeting was postponed.

Club member demonstrations: Ardis Rittenberry - baby blanket; Judy Smith - handmade basket and dough bowl belonging to her grandmothers.

The next club meeting will be Monday, Feb. 15, at the church. Debbie Parker will serve as hostess.

Shelbyville FCE met Jan. 5 at the UT/TSU Extension office with five of its members present. The meeting was called to order with president Lucile Sorrells reading, "I Am January." Helen Williams gave the devotion.

Whitney Danhof presented an education lesson themed, "Load up your digital grocery cart." Roll call was answered by members with their favorite aisle at the grocery store. Minutes were read by Linda Rucker and approved.

Year end reports were completed by Bonnie Saunders and new yearbooks were filled out. Adjournment was given and the next meeting will be Feb. 2 at the extension office.
