The Superintendent of Bedford County Schools, Tammy Garrett, announced the resignation of Shelbyville Central High School Principal Michael Hickman.
Garrett met with the SCHS faculty and staff to inform them of the change and also
communicated with parents via all-call and email.
She explained that she will be posting the position and will seek the best candidate possible
for the job.
“We wish Mr. Hickman the very best in his future endeavors,” commented Garrett. “These
administration decisions are very difficult, and I don’t take them lightly or without immense
consideration. I will be searching for the best possible match to serve our students and staff in
the future.”
