A man who admitted involvement in a multi-vehicle injury wreck Tuesday night on North Main Street was arrested Wednesday, Shelbyville police said.
Christian Isaha Wooten, 19, of Troupe Road is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and driving on a suspended license. He was being held on $6,000 bond Wednesday.
Wooten told police he’d “bumped” a silver Ford Mustang and left afterwards. Witnesses to the crash told police they’d seen Wooten’s red sports car fleeing the scene.
The car, with what Officer Darrian Lanier described as having “damage and paint transfer consistent with being involved” in the accident, had been driven to Wooten’s home and parked behind a shed.
The Mustang’s driver was charged with third offense driving on a suspended license.
Matthew Kevin Campbell, 20, of Tullahoma posted $2,000 bond.

Additional information on the wreck was unavailable Wednesday. Shelbyville police said the accident report had not yet been filed with state officials.
