A lengthy investigation has led to the arrest of a Bedford County woman.
According to Shelbyville Police Deputy Chief Brian Crews, the department's Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating Brenda Knight, who operates the homeless shelter, Castle Ministries.
Their investigation resulted in her arrest for theft of property of over $1,000 and financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
Search warrants were executed at the Madison Street facility as well as a home she rents within the county.
Knight has since bonded out of the Bedford County Corrections Center.
