Don’t let your heart be eclipsed
By DAWN HANKINS
One of the songs that I kept reciting during the solar Eclipse this week was “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler. Apparently, everyone else in the country liked it too last week, again, because it was one of the top played tunes during the solar event. Not bad for a mid 1980s pop tune.
It talks about a woman being lonely and shedding tears. She’s had as Bonnie sings, “A total eclipse of the heart.”
One thing we hopefully learn on Resurrection Sunday is that Jesus never “turns around” and leaves us. He is with us through our tears. He promised that He would be with us until the end of the age.
Sadly, some have been through so much trauma, they can’t see the light shining through them. Open your heart to the One who is always with you.
Know that God loves you. Have a blessed week.
Proverbs 4:23 (ESV) Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
