Jewel Gladys Beasley Ludke, age 90, of Columbia, TN, passed from this life late Saturday evening, January 23, 2021, at NHC Columbia.

Born November 22, 1930, in Highland Home, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Comer D. and Gladys White Beasley and is preceded in death by: brother, Alfred William Beasley; sister-in-law, Doris Beasley; and brother-in-law, Oscar McNeill.

Jewel graduated class of 1949 from Robertsdale High School and in 1951 married the love of her life, Robert R. Ludke. Together they started a family in 1955, and moved all over the southeast with stops in Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama due to her husband's job with Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. She was a homemaker and active with the Meals on Wheels program with Sage Avenue Church of Christ. They relocated to Robertsdale, Alabama in 1991 and became active with the Senior Citizens Program and Hurricane Relief Program with Robertsdale Church of Christ. In 2016 they would make their final stop in Columbia, Tennessee.

She was a wonderful and caring mother and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, listening to bluegrass, instrumental, gospel music, and was a true blue Auburn Tigers fan.

She is survived by: loving husband of 69 years, Robert Ronald Ludke of Columbia; daughters, Trena (Jim) Tracy of Shelbyville, and Tammy (Israel) Castorena of Columbia; son, Kevin (Nancy) Ludke of South Carolina; grandchildren, Chad (Heather), Craig, and Connor (Gracie) Tracy, Caleigh (Colby) Reed, Clemente, and Chloe Castorena; great-grandchild, Will Tracy; and half-sister, Patricia McNeill of Alabama.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021, at Robertsdale Church of Christ with Andrew Itson officiating. Burial will follow at Hail Cemetery in Robertsdale.
