Judy Faye Armstrong of Shelbyville passed away from this life on Saturday morning, October 1, 2022 at Centennial Hospital after a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Ray Armstrong, a daughter Megan Trott (Jason) of Shelbyville and one grandson, Aiden Graham Trott and numerous nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was born on April 23, 1951 in Shelbyville, Tennessee and was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Wells Lentz and Beatrice Lankford Lentz, a brother, Jerry Wayne Lentz, and sister, Marie Lentz Darnell. Her funeral services will be held at Fellowship For Christ Church at 142 Richdale Lane in Shelbyville at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 with visitation from 3-5 p.m. Per her request, her remains will be cremated.

Judy loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and was faithful until the end. She and her husband Ray were two of the cofounders of Fellowship for Christ Church here in Shelbyville in 1980 where she attended until her death, serving the Lord and his people as a pastor’s wife. This was her life’s work. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her grandson and caring for animals.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in her memory to the Middle Tennessee Spay and Neuter Clinic, 846 Union St., Shelbyville, TN 37160, or New Destiny Dog Rescue, P.O. Box 42, Wartrace, TN 37183 or 202 E. Highland Ave., Shelbyville, TN 37160.
