Karin Renate Roper, age 70, passed from this life on January 6, 2025, in Shelbyville.
Born on July 8, 1954, Karin was the daughter of the late Renate Freida Tarras Morrow and George Dwain Morrow. She known for her feisty and witty personality. She never hesitated to speak her mind and often brought joy to those around her through her humorous antics.
After graduating from high school in 1972, Karin worked as an administrative assistant for several years. She later chose to dedicate her life to her family as a full-time homemaker, a role she cherished and excelled in. She was the love of Jack Roper, II’s life. They met in high school and they have been together ever since, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary last March.
Karin had a passion for golf and could often be found on the course, perfecting her game. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling across the United States in their motor home.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jack Roper, II; children, Jack “Shane” (Kailauni) Roper, III of Clarksville, and Shauna Renate Mora of Shelbyville; grandchildren, James, Michael, Gabriel, Marisol, Mea, Everleigh, Brayden, and Jax; and siblings, Michelle Endlich, and Gary Morrow both of Texas.
A Celebration of life service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Jim Gray officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, Jan. 18th 3-4 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
