Following a two-week absence of games, the Cascade Middle Lady Champs fell just short of knocking off Westwood on Monday night in a low-scoring, 25-23 final decision.
Westwood posted a slim 6-4 lead after the first quarter, but saw Cascade match a 10-point second quarter effort.
Cascade went on to tie the game at 21 points apiece after the third quarter, but saw its offense come up short in the fourth quarter.
Westwood closed the game with a pair of baskets, while Cascade managed just two points, which were courtesy of Sophie Ray at the line.
Anna Clanton led Cascade with seven points, while Ray chipped in six.
