The Huntland Lady Hornets got a 25-point effort from Maddie Burks and coasted to a 56-27 win over the Liberty Lady Patriots on Tuesday evening.
Huntland nearly doubled up the Lady Patriots in the first frame and led 15-8 after the first quarter and stretched the lead to 26-14 by the end of the half.
While Liberty nearly matched pace in the third quarter, Huntland slammed the door shut on a comeback bid with 22 point to close the game.
In addition to Burks' game-high 25 point, two additional Lady Hornets reached double figures, with Kinsley Kilpatrick adding 13 points, while TaTianna Stovall added 10.
Lilly Gray was the top-scorer for the Lady Patriots with 10 points, while Anna Haskins added nine points as well.
Liberty get a bit of a layover until November 19 when the Lady Patriots look for a bounce back at Highland Rim.
Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
