Local students represent Bedford
The 2023 Tennessee Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences was held at the University of Tennessee at Martin May 27 through June 23. Participating high school juniors took part in group study projects involving veterinary science and precision agriculture. The event brought 35 students to the UT Martin campus who each earned three hours of university credit for their participation. Laurel Cox of Bell Buckle (left), a junior at Cascade High School, and Helena Duke of Shelbyville, a junior at Shelbyville Central High School, represented Bedford County in the program.
