A man Officer Sam Campbell said “lunged at me” after being told a vehicle would be towed was charged with resisting arrest and two counts of assault Saturday night, Shelbyville police said.
Jordan Tyrese Woodard, 18, of Dunnaway Street was found on Tate Avenue in a vehicle fitting the description of one seen being recklessly driven, Campbell’s report said.
Woodard was also charged with possession of a schedule VI drug when a small bag of marijuana was found in his vehicle, police said. He was released on $13,500 bond.
Theft charges
Patricia Diane Perryman, 46, of Midland Road was charged with seven counts of theft of property and released on $7,000 bond Saturday, police said.
Perryman was arrested after allegedly stealing $157 worth of items from Walmart. Several of the warrants had been filed previously over other alleged thefts, according to the report.
Theft
A wallet was stolen from a truck at a gas pump at Speedway, Madison Street, around 1 a.m. Saturday. The owner told police he was inside the store at the time.
Found
A car stolen from a Murfreesboro hotel last week was found Saturday in the alley between Farmers Home Furniture and North Main Laundry off North Main Street, police said.
Vandalism
A resident of John Brinkley Road reported a bullet hole in his truck Saturday, a Bedford County Sheriff’s Office report said.

The following were charged since Friday by the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, Shelbyville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.
