Lurah Faye Scarbrough, age 92, of Shelbyville, formerly of Smyrna died Sunday, September 19, 2021. 

She was a native of Lincoln County. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Scarbrough, son, James David Scarbrough; parents, John O. Ingle, and Lillian Gattis Ingle; sisters, Christabel Logan, Frieda Sue Wagster; brother Charles Ingle. 

Mrs. Scarbrough was a member of the Church of Christ. She had attended Smyrna Division Street Church of Christ and was a member at Flat Creek Church of Christ. 

Mrs. Scarbrough was a homemaker and excellent seamstress in her earlier years. She always was devoted to her parents, as all her sisters and brother were. Always considerate, affectionate, loving, often putting others before herself. She worked part time at the Church after care program in Smyrna in later years, which she tremendously enjoyed. 

Mrs. Scarbrough is survived by a daughter, Susan Scarbrough; longtime devoted friends, Sharon and Eric Neal, Joseph Neal and Stephanie Wilson, along with nieces and nephews, Dan Logan, Tricia Norman, Mike Ingle, Mark Ingle, and the late John D. Logan. 

Special thanks to the caregivers, and staff at Creekside Villas. Your compassionate care improving a bad day through kindness and smiles, making a good day even brighter will be eternally remembered.

Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Booneville Cemetery. www.woodfinchapel.com
