Marjorie Darnell Burgess, 79, of Normandy died Thursday, May 13, 2021.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 16th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M.
She was the daughter of the late Charles Edgar and Gladys Marie Walters Darnell and the wife of the late William Clayton Burgess. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William "Bud" Darnell.
She is survived by children, Cynthia (Darryl) Dennis, Charles (Kia Chow) Burgess; caregivers/grandchildren, Amanda McCullough (Kevin Locke), Joshua (Elizabeth) Van Allen, Rheachal Dennis; great-grandchildren, Alyssa McCullough, Declan Allen and Lillian Allen; sisters, Brenda (Davis) Brinkley, Patsy Cook, Vicky Darnell and brother, Larry Darnell.
She was a native of Bedford County; a member of The Christian of Truth Church and a homemaker who loved her family, her flowers and her Church.
