After a dramatic tie break in West Layfette, Ind., Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak triumphed over Tennessee's Alejandro Moreno and Alex Kotzen to claim the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Doubles title in 2024, qualifying the pair for the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco, Texas on Nov. 21-24.
Horak (playing on his birthday) teamed with Al-Amin for just the second tournament of their careers, winning the first set 6-3 before dropping the second set 2-6, setting up a dramatic tiebreaker win, 10-8 in the final frame. Al-Amin also picked up third place in the regional singles on Monday morning, defeating Moreno 6-3, 6-3.
Men's Tennis hosts its annual Coach Buck Bouldin Classic at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Facility this weekend.
