Methamphetamine was allegedly found on a man initially suspected of shoplifting Wednesday at Dollar General Market, North Main Street.
Donald Wayne Nowlin allegedly had three packs of oragel in his pockets when searched by Shelbyville officers Russ Grubbs and Derek Wessels.
A further pre-arrest search revealed a matchbox containing 1.0 grams of meth and .3 grams of marijuana, Wessels’ report said.
Jacob Patch was cited after Officer Sam Campbell smelled marijuana in the vehicle. the report said.
Five baby goats have gone missing from a farm in the 2500 block of Unionville-Deason Road over the past two weeks, a Bedford County Sheriff’s Office report said.
The victim had waited two weeks to report the missing goats because of the possibility of predators, but said there was no evidence left behind and now thinks they were stolen.

The following were charged since Monday by the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, Shelbyville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.
