Two people were charged after methamphetamine and crack cocaine were found in a Wartrace home Saturday morning.
A Bedford County deputy called to investigate a possible drug overdose on Hill Street found Melissa Talbot unconscious. She regained consciousness and was taken for medical treatment, the report said.
Help had been summoned by George Tyrone Ransom, 61, of Thompson Street, Shelbyville.
The deputy was given permission to search the house and found crack cocaine, a syringe containing meth, and various types of drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
Ransom and Talbot were both charged with possession of schedule II drugs and paraphernalia. Ranson posted $4,000 bond. Talbot had not been taken into custody as of Monday morning.
Samantha Rae Prince, 33, of Barksdale Lane handed over a small bag of meth to police. She was charged with possession of a schedule II drug and held on $1,000 bond.
Marijuana charge
A bag of marijuana and 12 burnt marijuana cigarettes were discovered in a car Sunday night after the driver missed a turn at the entrance to the Kroger shopping center on North Main Street and struck a curb, police said.
Julian Ruiz Lessary, 21, of Old Nashville Dirt Road was charged with possession of a schedule VI drug, Lessary posted $2,500 bond.
Non-emergencies
Five alleged non-emergency 911 calls in less than 10 hours resulted in the arrest of a Shelbyville man Friday.
Jerrid Daniel Pardon, 21, of Evans Street was intoxicated and admitted to an officer he’d been smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol. Pardon was charged with misuse of 911. He posted $1,500 bond.
