Mildred Jeanette Thompson, 89, of Shelbyville died Monday, November 23, 2020, at her home at Celebration Way.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 27, 2020, at Edgemont Baptist Church. Brother Jimmy West and Brother Jeff Haynes will officiate. The family request that guests wear masks and practice social distancing in the sanctuary. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral. A private graveside service will be held at Willow Mount Cemetery following the service.

Mrs. Mildred Jeanette Thompson, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 23, 2020, at her home at Celebration Way in Shelbyville, TN.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 27, 2020, at Edgemont Baptist Church. The family request that guests wear masks and practice social distancing in the sanctuary. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral. A private graveside service will be held at Willow Mount Cemetery following the service. Brother Jimmy West and Brother Jeff Haynes will officiate.
Jeanette “Nannie” was born August 5, 1931, to Herbert Burgess and Rosie Lee Modrall. Nannie was a long standing member of Edgemont Baptist Church. She was saved and baptized at 13 years old and lead a long Christ filled life. She always took care of others. She loved nothing more than than cooking for her family, praying, and reading the Bible.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ewing Warren Thompson, and her daughter, Donna Jean Thompson Haynes.
She is survived by her son, David (Vicki) Thompson, of Asheville, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Jeff (Julie) Haynes, of Shelbyville, Susan (Jason) Armstrong, of Shelbyville, and Victoria (Wesley) Lo, of Durham, North Carolina; four great-grandchildren: Jacie (Dillon) West, Dillen Haynes, Emilee Armstrong, and Grace Haynes; and one great-great grandson, Fisher West.
