LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Middle Tennessee softball was defeated by NM State 9-1 on Sunday, April 27. The game was called after six innings due to the run rule.
The Blue Raiders (23-27, 10-14) struggled out of the gates vs. the NM State Aggies (25-24, 12-12) after they stranded the bases loaded in the first inning. The Aggies scored one run in the bottom of the first inning.
In the fifth inning, senior Ava Tepe reached on a fielder's choice before working her way to third base with great base running. With Tepe on third, Macie Harter dropped a bunt that score Tepe to give the Blue Raiders their lone run.
