DALLAS – Following a pair of strong performances against NM State and UTEP, Middle Tennessee guard Ta'Mia Scott was named the Conference USA Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Scott, a junior from Clarksville, Tennessee, picked up her fourth career weekly accolade and third of the season – she was previously named Player of the Week in 2023-24.

The standout guard tallied a team-high 20 points, seven rebounds, an assist and a block in Middle Tennessee's 63-41 win over NM State. She went 7-of-14 from the field (50 percent), knocking down her only three-point attempt on the night and also added five free throws.

She followed that performance up with 25 points, four rebounds, two blocks and an assist in the Blue Raiders' 57-35 win over UTEP. She went 8-of-17 from the field (47 percent), including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and 7-of-9 from the line. With the win on Senior Day, the already winningest four-year graduation class in program history cemented themselves in the record book, having never lost a home against CUSA opponents in their four years – Middle Tennessee is riding a 37-game home win streak in CUSA play, having won by an average margin of 22.1 points per game.

Scott is averaging 18.6 points per game in CUSA play - second among all players - and 7.1 rebounds per game. She has played a significant role in the Blue Raiders having the unanimous No. 1 defense in the Nation. Middle Tennessee is currently holding its opponents to just 51.6 points per game on 32.5 percent shooting. MTSU also owns CUSA's best all-time defense, holding conference opponents to just 45.4 points per game on 29.2 percent shooting.
