Mrs. Naomi Cline Thompson, age 93, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021.

A memorial service will be held 4 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at First Christian Church. Reverend Dan Asche will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Mount Cemetery.

Naomi Cline Thomason, Child of God, was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on June 25, 1927, to parents, Virgil A Cline, Sr. and Clara Ruth Smith Cline, both preceding her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Cline McDade, brother, Roy O. Cline, grandson, Matthew Kerry Thompson, and son-in-law, L. Wayne Bomar.

She was married to William M. "Slick" Thompson for 66+ years, until his death in 2013.

Survivors by a son, William Kerry Thompson, and a daughter, Adrian Thompson Bomar, both of Shelbyville; four grandsons, Jacob Thompson and wife Wendy, of Atlanta, Georgia, Andrew Thompson, of Atlanta, Brian Price, of Jacksonville, FL, and Derek Price and his wife Lindsay, of Murfreesboro; three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Virgil A. Cline, Jr. and his wife Ann, of Tullahoma, and a sister, Mickie Cline Floyd of Murfreesboro.

She was an "Interior Decorator" seamstress for many years and retired from the Doctor's Clinic, where she worked for the last 17 years of her working career.

Naomi was a longtime volunteer at Good Samaritan and past member of the Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee. An active member of First Christian Church since 1947. She served as deacon for several terms and on numerous committees, especially the pricing for the annual Craft and Bake Sale. She was also an avid gardener and lover of nature. She loved books and read lots of books using the public library. She enjoyed knitting and playing bridge with her friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Good Samaritan, or the Library.

The family has requested that masks be worn and for social distancing be implemented as well.
