Liberty Middle School continues to show improvement despite a 28-16 loss to visiting Huntland Middle School on Thursday evening.
Liberty didn’t have a team last year and has shown inexperience during this year’s restart.
Quarterback Mason Shavers threw two touchdown passes, one to Jack Conditt then hooked up with Cohen Abernathy for the two-point conversion.
Shavers also connected with Abernathy again on a long TD pass, then rushed for the two-point conversion.
The Patriots (0-2) host Forrest on Thursday at 6 at the Eagles Nest.
