After holding a two-point lead at the half, the Liberty Patriots saw a late-game surge that allowed the Huntland Hornets to rally to a 50-45 victory.
Liberty posted 16 points in the first frame and was led by Jason Cullum's eight points.
Huntland rallied for 15 points in the second quarter and trimmed the Patriot advantage to 24-22.
Both teams scored 11 points in the third quarter.
The difference in the contest came in the fourth frame when Huntland began connecting on shots from range.
Of the team's total five treys, Huntland connected on three in the fourth quarter, including two by Landon Farmer.
Liberty struggled to match the Hornets' production on the offensive end of the floor, with Mason Shavers and Cullum each added four points in the fourth quarter.
The Patriot pair each scored 12 points to lead Liberty, while Braxton Landers chipped in 10 points.
Liberty hopes to get back on track on November 19 at Highland Rim.
