The hottest ever recorded in Shelbyville was 108 on June 30, 2012, that was the day that even saw the temperature hit 103 on the Cumberland plateau. The record for Murfreesboro is 109. The hottest temperature ever recorded in Tennessee was 113 at Perryville in West Central Tennessee on August 9, 1930.
The ringed planet Saturn will be brighter than any time of the year Monday and will be visible all night long. The best time to see it is around midnight to 2 a.m. in the Southeastern sky. A medium-sized or larger telescope will allow you to see Saturn’s rings.
