An early Cascade Lady Champion lead didn't hold against a talented Moore County Raiderette squad on Monday night.
After building a 2-0 lead by the end of the third inning, Cascade saw the game spiral in favor of the visitors due to a handful of errors and the bats heating up.
Moore County coasted off the momentum to a 13-4 victory.
Lani ones led off the bottom of the first inning with the game's first hit and later scored on a base hit by Vera Bilbro.
Jones scored the game's second run on a Raiderette error in the third frame.
But an opportunistic Raiderette squad took advantage of Cascade errors and timely hitting to rally to a 4-2 lead by the end of the fourth.
Moore County added five more in the fifth inning and two runs in each of the sixth and seventh frames.
Jones led the Lady Champs at the plate with three base hits in four trips to the plate.
She also scored all four Cascade runs and swiped three bases.
Bailey Olive also was effective at the plate and was 1-for-3, with a pair of runs knocked in.
Olive got the start in the pitcher's circle and pitched well early on. She struck out three batters, but issued six walks and allowed seven hits.
Chloe Brazier pitched 6 2/3 innings for the Raiderettes and struck out eight while only allowing two earned runs to cross the plate.
Cascade hopes to right the ship Tuesday evening at Huntland, with the game scheduled for a 6 p.m. First pitch.
