Raiderettes down Cascade with big 1st half

The Cascade Lady Champions struggled to match the high-octane offense of the Moore County Raiderettes on Monday night and suffered a 57-29 loss. 
Moore County erupted out of the gates with a 27-point first quarter effort, while limiting Cascade to four points, which came on baskets by Jordan Green and Maribel De la Rosa. 
The Raiderettes’ onslaught continued into the second quarter where Moore County went on a 17-7 run to take a 44-11 lead into the locker room.
The game slowed considerably from an offensive standpoint as the two teams combined for just 13 points in the third period.
Cascade rallied and out-scored Moore County 12-6 in the final frame but was unable to dig out of the first-half hole.
Moore County was effective, notably from the perimeter, where the Raiderettes connected on nine 3-pointers in the contest.
In total, 10 Moore County players scored.
For Cascade, it was Jordan Green who led the home team as the lone player in double figures, with 13 points. 
Cascade will continue looking for its first win with a busy close to the week with games at Marshall County on Thursday and at Shelbyville Central on Friday night.
