Today is election day in Bedford County and across the state. Locally, precincts are open to voters from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bedford County Schools are closed, due to some of the schools serving as voting precincts. Teachers are observing an inservice day.
State offices are included on this general election ballot, including the race for governor.
The ballot also features some Shelbyville Municipal offices, including mayor and council, and open Wartrace and Normandy seats.

See the Shelbyville Times-Gazette Facebook page for election results on Tuesday evening.
