Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Roy Wayne "Papa" Adams, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at his home under the loving care and comfort of his family and Hospice Compassus.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 9 a.m. until service Friday at the funeral home.
He was born May 23, 1952, in Shelbyville, to the late W.M. and Mary Susie Davenport Adams. He was retired from Shelbyville Power Company as a heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing, and automobile racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Douglas Adams and Roger Dale Adams.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Bessie "Nannie" Adams, of Shelbyville; honorary children, Jada Sissom and Tina Claxton; sister-in-law, Norma Adams; best niece and caregiver, Tonya Farley; a special honorary granddaughter, Samantha Sissom; nephews, Chris Adams and his wife Terrie, John Adams and his wife, and William Adams and his wife Beverly; nieces, Lisa Warren, and her husband Billy Wayne, and Regina Campbell, and her husband Sam; numerous honorary grandchildren, and one honorary great-grandchild.
