Scattered thunderstorms will be on the increase this weekend across Middle Tennessee due to a cold front moving in. A 30% chance on Saturday will increase to 50% on Sunday.
After being around 100 degrees this week, we may only see near 80 on Monday and Tuesday. Look for another heat wave from July 1-7 with highs in the mid-to-upper 90s.
Many areas around Shelbyville have had no significant rain in the last two weeks and this heat has really taken its toll on lawns and gardens.
