LEWISBURG - Senior Mary Alice Shavers blasted a three-run homerun over the centerfield wall in extra innings to help lead Shelbyville Central's Golden Eaglettes to an 8-5 non-district road win at Marshall County on Thursday night.
The Eaglettes led 5-4 going into the bottom of the seventh inning when Marshall County plated a run to send the game into an extra innings.
Shavers added a single and collected three RBIs.
Sarah Margaret Houch ripped a pair of doubles and had a pair of RBIs, Kate McKamey slammed a triple and single while Jaleigha Harris, Hannah Burks and Lilly Brown added a pair of singles for the winners.
Housch got the start in the circle and was impressive before Burks took over in the fifth inning to close out the game.
The Eaglettes were scheduled to host Franklin County on Friday night and will entertain Coffee County on Monday night at 7.
