MANCHESTER, Tenn. – The Shelbyville Central Eaglettes (11-2, 5-0) and Golden Eagles (13-0, 5-0) swept Coffee County, 7-0 and 7-0, to stay unbeaten in District 8-AA play on Wednesday afternoon.

MANCHESTER, Tenn. – The Shelbyville Central Eaglettes (11-2, 5-0) and Golden Eagles (13-0, 5-0) swept Coffee County, 7-0 and 7-0, to stay unbeaten in District 8-AA play on Wednesday afternoon.
For the Eaglettes, Lilly Smith and Sophie Ray handily won the first of two doubles points, 8-0, over Isabelle Saneld and Jaydee Nayadula. Addie Berry and Abby Thaxton won the second doubles point, 8-3, over Ava Mcintosh and Carrington Saned.
On the singles side, Lilly Smith took down Isabelle Saneld, 8-3, on Court One while on Court Two, Addie Berry took care of Jaydee Noyadula, 8-3, as well. Sophie Ray made quick work of Darrington Saned on Court Three, 8-0, Abby Thaxton handled Ava Mcintosh, 8-2, on Court Four, and finally, Elesa Aldis quickly dispatched of Haris Holt, 8-0, on Court Five to seal the team sweep.
The Golden Eagles took care of business in a similar fashion by winning both doubles points to open against the Raiders. Henry Stone and Tucker Johnson held off Liam Brown and Colin Bryant, 8-4, while Liam Spence and Tanner Johnson made quick work of Audie Nichol and Alfonso Escalante, 8-0.
During the singles session, Henry Stone battled against Liam Brown, taking home the win, 8-4, on Court One. On Court Two, Justin Spence handled Colin Bryant, 8-1, while Tucker Johnson put down Audie Nichol, 8-2, on Court Three. On Court Four, Tanner Johnson downed Alfonso Escalante, 8-1, and on Court Five, Carter Watson clinched the clean sweep for the Golden Eagles by fending off Christine Galindo, 8-4.
Shelbyville Central takes a two-match reprieve from district play, first traveling to Marshall County on Thursday afternoon starting at 3:30 p.m. followed by a home match against Summertown on Friday starting at 3:00 p.m.
