A cut artery didn’t stop a seriously-injured Shelbyville man from trying to get at his alleged attacker Saturday night.
Christopher Jerome Harris Jr., 43, of Shoma Drive allegedly stabbed Ronald Jamel Singleton, 28, of White Street, in the neck during a dispute over money at Blue Ribbon Inn, North Main Street.
Harris told police he stabbed Singleton in the bottom of his chin with a car key as Singleton advanced toward him.
Police charged Harris with aggravated domestic assault and aggravated assault. He was released with no bond set.
Singleton was charged with disorderly conduct after repeatedly cursing at officers, attempting to push past them to reach Harris, and refusing to let medical personnel treat his injury, the report said. He was taken to a Nashville hospital.
